camp vincent

When your group adviser registers you as a member of a Youth SVP group, you are eligible to attend Camp Vincent.

Camp Vincent is the chance for hundreds of Youth SVP members from all over England and Wales to get away together for 4 days in July and meet lots of new people. You stay in comfortable indoor accommodation at Ampleforth in North Yorkshire.

There is a packed programme of activities, events and social time led by trained young leaders – many of whom joined Youth SVP themselves when at school.

In the mornings there are small group workshops, discussions, themes and lively youth liturgy related to you and your Youth SVP volunteering work.

There are opportunities for spiritual reflection – particularly upon the work you do as a Youth SVP volunteer.

In the afternoons, you can choose from the really good range of facilities at Ampleforth – such as the swimming pool, tennis courts and the sports hall.

Everybody gets involved in the evenings in the different social events. There are always some surprises but there will definitely be the usual last night karaoke!
